Food is the essence of Vietnamese life and the heart of Vietnamese food is rice. One of the greetings you may get when meeting family or friends translates to "have you eaten rice yet?" Similarly the call to lunch translates to "eat rice". Such is the importance of rice in Vietnamese culture and probably nothing else portrays this more than the endless green and gold fields of rice seen through out the country side. We have drawn on the Vietnamese word for field "cánh đồng" as inspiration for the name of our restaurant. Just as traditional as growing rice is the sharing of food with family and friends. Come in and enjoy some of that tradition with our authentic and traditional Vietnamese dishes.
